Luba
Grigorovitch
Councillor for Altona Meadows Ward
Hobsons Bay Council
ABOUT LUBA
I have always had a keen interest in politics, and the world in general. I am an active member of the Australian Labor Party and have been for many years as I believe that the Labor party works hard for working families.
I completed year 12 at Mt St Josephs Girls College in 2002, I then
continued my studies completing a double degree at Victoria University
in 2006; A Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Business.
The majority of the week I spend at the Department of Transport as
the Event and Sponsorship Coordinator. This is an exciting role and
I find that each day is different; I am a natural organiser so this
role suits me perfectly.
The remainder of my week I spend working with local residents and groups in and around Hobsons Bay.
I have always been interested in our community. I believe that Hobsons
Bay is a lovely place to live. having been raised in Hobsons Bay and
attending local schools I know what is on offer and I am keen to see
Hobsons Bay get even better over time.
I have always had a keen interest in politics. I have been inspired
and looked up to local women involved in politics and what they have
been able to achieve such as Joan Kirner, Julia Gillard and Lynne
Kosky.
I have always been a leader and active in my community, at school
and in my chosen sport.
I would like to make a difference in our community, and I see council
as a natural progression for me. I want to serve the community, whilst
making that difference!
